                     Pots and Palettes Summer Camp – 2008

This summer we’re offering a variety of activities for the young artist.  Projects
will include throwing on the pottery wheel, ceramics molding & pouring, clay
handbuilding, mosaic pieces & so much more!!!  Each week we will have different
sets of activities planned.  
Cost is $150 per session.  Family group rate (2 sessions) save 10%.
We have  Junior group ages 8-11 year old and the Senior group 12-16 year olds!!

Session Time 9:30 to Noon.

*  We have had very high interest in Ceramics and Mosaics summer camp and
have added session # 3A above.
All items and any makeup days must be completed within 30 days of session.
Incomplete pieces will not be held after that.

Christine, the pottery instructor, has her BS. in Art Ed.
from Kutztown U. She has taught Art for over 17 years
and a Pottery Instructor in a College Preparatory school
for the last 12 ½ years of those years, before coming to
Fredericksburg the summer of ’06.

All classes run for five week sessions. Each session
can be repeated several times.
More classes may be added, if needed.

Beginning Pottery-This class is for the person with little
or no experience
on the pottery wheel. Within the five weeks, you will
learn how to make, trim and
glaze several bowl shapes.

Adults- (16 & over)
$150 for 5 weeks plus $25 for clay & use of glazes.  

Tuesdays              6:30-8:00pm        June 3- July 1
Thursdays            6:30-8:00pm       May 29- June 26

Kids-(10-15)
$120 for 5 weeks plus $25 for clay & use of glazes.  

Tuesdays        4:30- 6:00pm         June 3- July 1

Saturdays       10:30 -12:00        May 31- June 28
                         
Hand-Building- This class will explore the making of a
pinch pot, a coil pot.
Each project will be constructed and glazed in class. No
experience necessary.
